Default Power Steering questions

I need to replace my PS pump and figured that it would make sense to change out the tensioner and pulleys. I have a new (4k miles) belt so I'll re-use that. My question is does anyone have experience with the BBB Industries (Genco) PS pump? I assume that I can re-use the pulley on the PS pump. In addition to the new tensioner, how many other pulleys do I need? I think one but wanted to ask.

Thank you!

There are two idler pulleys, one on the tensioner and one near the ps pump.

Thank you. The tensioner comes with a pulley so I only have to buy 1 additional pulley to complete the set-up.

Anyone have opinions on the BBB Industries PS pump from Rock Auto?

There were a few threads here a few months ago where people were having issues with rebuilt PS pumps and were advocating that we should rebuild our own. I recently did this and it is working great.

I don't have the skillset for a rebuild and figured that I'd just buy a good new pump. I hear that the Cardone rebuilt units are not that great. I did read that the ProLine unit was good but its around $250 from Lucky8. Thoughts?

Price isn’t necessarily an indicator of quality but I wouldn’t cheap out. Rebuilding my own cost me almost as much as one of the cheaper rebuilt units. Knowing what it takes to properly rebuild one I would say that $250 isn’t too much if it’s a good quality pump.
