Default Preventative Maintenance for a 2004 Disco?

Hi All,

Just bought a super clean 2004 Disco with 96k miles. Super clean history, nearly no issues to date. That said, even though super clean and no issues, at 96K miles what would the expert opinion be on what preventative maintenance should be done to keep this rolling another 100k?

Thanks so much!

The oil and filter recommendations have probably changed since this sticky was written. Make sure you never overheat and go out to the garage right now and see if it has serviceable u-joints on the front propshaft. Rebuild or replace the front propshaft if it doesn't. The factory propshaft will have a single grease zerk on the differential end. It needs to be serviceable at all u-joints.

Here's the propshaft topic; https://landroverforums.com/forum/ge...rebuild-29302/

Over heat = above 50% on gauge. Plug in a scanner or Ultra Gauge to see the actual temps. And the factory manual set is called the RAVE, free download links.

I think the only true preventative maintenance on a Disco is to not buy one in the first place...
