Default Price for 2004 Disco?

What would y'all consider a good price for a 2004 Disco to be? Maybe my expectations are wrong but I was thinking more in the 8500 range but everything decent I've been seeing has been around 11,000. For example, I am really interested in the below vehicle but it seems overpriced:

Got an error with your link but anything less than 80k miles in good condition is going to be around the 10000+ mark depending on mileage. You can get 03s with good mileage for around 7500-8500 or blown engine ones for $3500 or less. Go buy a head gasket/engine chemical test before even going to look. $40 test can save you a couple grand. I recently got a 04 HSE with 51k on it for $8200+shipping but I looked for months and still will problably end up putting $2500 in it before its right.

Better to find a one owner truck that has been well maintained then to try to go the cheap way.

one seach tool is www.statewidelist.com, indexs craigslist, finds all rover in a particular state, your price ranges, dealer or private seller, and output is sorted by metro area. So today it shows 25 under $15K by owner in San Antonio area.... so you don't need to look at the ones in Houston, as an example.

And even if you love Rovers, have owned them, etc., an hour or so inspection by an indy mechanic can save a lot of grief, he may have a more objective viewpoint while you are hot to trot for a particular truck. Take code scanner with you, can read pending codes, and show real time data (like coolant temp) while you let truck idle.

Here's one for $6500 in the Seattle area, and that is VERY unusual. Typically an '04 with under 100K will be upwards of $10K like the one you posted.

IMHO, that one seems really high when you consider the miles, trim,a and three owners. They didn't mention anything about maintenance either. If you're gonna have a shop do it, add about $2500 to that investment for head gaskets and driveshaft rebuild.
