Most have and have just given up on the fact that this DS is just a simple replacement for a stock DS. It's not heavy duty and is over priced for what your getting. The insult is comparing this to a Tom Woods DS...

Well without comparing the two directly, I don't think you can make the assumption that this shaft isn't stronger than the Wood's. Guru had it checked out and it's supposedly comparable. TW's shafts aren't perfect, Rear Drive Shaft Defender 90 - Defender Source

But, like many things on the internet, there's not enough info on the failure to make a judgement about anything. The best propshaft in the world will fail if you don't lube it correctly and on schedule.

To be fair, the Proshaft gives all appearances of being heavier duty than OE. The mere fact it has 1310 u-joints and a greaseable center head probably makes it so. Is it really needed for a Rover than never off-roads? I don't think so, but that doesn't mean it's not better than OE.

2 - If the diff pinion is pointing at the transfer output you want a DC end at the transfer case.
If in number 1 the angle is too great you'll need a DC on both ends.
Great explanation, thank you.

I thought we cleared up that this statement was Drew running off at the mouth, and nothing else? Unless that changed at some point, I'll admit I lost track of that thread after page 11ty billion...

And by all accounts, this is a service upgrade over stock, unless you have some information to counter that?

re: and nothing else

Would think it was more than sales weasel exuberance. Would agree shaft is mucho gooder than stock.

As for comparison to other shafts, we are not a testing service, so comparisons will be salted with opinions.

Any D2 owner needs to rebuild / replace the front prop shaft, and keep it greased as Tom mentions. One problem you will encounter is using IffyLube and such, where their computer shows that there are only "X" zerk fittings.

I actually work at JiffyLube and even I would not trust them to grease anything on my truck! I just invested in a grease gun and grease from local Autozone and do all the greaseing myself - that way I know I did it right, with the correct grease and I know I did not miss any fittings.

I am the owner of Dynamic Driveline LLC in North Little Rock, Ar. I am behind on this thread and i would like to clarify a few things concerning ProShaft of Little rock, ar. The owner of Proshaft is a former employee of mine. He helped open the doors to Dynamic Driveline while i was working in iraq. He was a friend of mine i thought i could trust. He was in charge of forums, such as this one, also ebay, which included paypal. After my return from iraq i was able to keep track of things a little better and found out he was using the product that was built in my shop to promote ProShaft. He listed his personal cell number on this forum so he would receive calls about the orders. After finding he misused company funds (excess of $10,000) and missing inventory (several thousands of dollars) he was relieved of his duties. Dynamic Driveline was never mentioned in this forum that i know of, even though the shaft was built in my shop (Dynamic Driveline LLC). All of our driveshafts are built right here in my shop and Hi-speed balanced above industry standard. The current ProShaft does not build any shafts, they are outsourced, re-labeled and shipped. If you have any questions or concerns about our driveshafts feel free to give us a call 501-945-9090, we will be glad to hear from you.

I have one of your Dynamic Driveline shaft which I bought from you, before the unnamed person joined the site. It had been in going on 3 years I guess and I have never had any problems with it. Still recommend your shaft whenever possible a lot of this was brought to light a few months ago when the unnamed person was asked to leave the group.
