ProShaft Front Drive Shaft
Usually from a sales standpoint, a satisfied customer will tell about 4 people. A customer that was wronged (in their mind) will tell on average 14 people. So un-doing damage is not easy. And their have been web scammers who have preyed on the deep pocket Land Rover owners. There will always be scammers, and hopefully there will be more honest guys supporting the Rovers.
Your efforts to sort this out and erase a blemish against you will pay off over time. Probably best to start a new post, and put a piece on this thread. People may not read thru 23 pages of posts to get to the truth.

Yes buzz that is very true. Due to the holiday weekend and a mud bog event going that I am donating to for a scholarship fund I won't be at my shop today....possibly tomoro I will, and I will have to figure out how to post pics on this forum so that I can show paperwork for dynamic driveline. The mud bog event is being put on by loose nutz off road club out of malvern arkansas at jd farms mud park in Benton Arkansas. I know it isn't much to go by but each one of those has a Facebook page if anyone would like to verify that.
We are discussing a very limited market. I mentioned TW because if you think thousands of drive shafts are being sold to LR owners, you really need a reality check. Cut the BS and move past this with the truth and maybe people will look at your product. Right now, this is the only place that has really ever heard of you in the LR world and that exposure has been for the humor factor.
Post the facts, and competitive pricing and let the leave the drama behind...

Also, I don't think this guy is trying to be dishonest. The previous people posting certainly were trying to make us all believe their product was the greatest thing ever.
I will say again that the Tom Woods product does have a pretty impressive reputation, seemingly world-wide. The guys on the Australian land rover owners forum swear by them. And they have to pay double what we do because of shipping and markup of the people doing the importing.
Mongo if you sold the LR shaft you'ld really be amazed at how many are sold due to the common failire of the oem shaft. As far as us selling 1000's o shafts, yes we have, have they all been for a LR? No. We are a full service driveline shop, meaning we build and repair any type of shaft, for cars, trucks, 18 wheelers etc. As far as our name in the LR world, I'm sure there are several LR owners that have one of our shafts in it just as mentioned by a member on this thread. We have sold shafts to out of state and local LR shops and dealers and we sold several on eBay, when we had a eBay store. Due to financial reasons and working ourself out of a hole that we were put in from misuse of company money by a former employee we temporarily pulled ourself from eBay. $10,000 plus taken from a new company in the first 1.5yrs of operation is a huge hit.
I would say I'm a lot more familiar with the drivelines issues with the D2's than you are. I've been dealing with them since 2002, well before you opened your shop. Not doubting your sales, just questioning the LR aspect, your shop is not well known and very few have ever heard of you...
Good luck digging out...

Thank you jafir, and yes you are correct, Tom woods has a great reputation world wide, and by no means am I saying my product is more superior than his or anyone elses. There are only so many places to buy the parts needed to build a driveshaft and most driveline shops use the same parts suppliers which means they are very similar in durability. We have shafts in competition rock crawlers, mud trucks that run 5 ton axles with 62" tires, drag cars that are producing 1000+ hp, and several other hi performance vehicles. None have came back and everyone is completely satisfied with the workmanship.
I am not underestimating your LR experience at all and I appologize if that's how it came across. I assure you that we were ABSOLUTLEY amazed at how many LR shafts we sold and how big the market is for that particular shaft.
According to Land Rover, a lot of D1 on D2 were produced.
392,443 first-generation Discoverys were built in nine years, for an average of 43,604 per year. There were 278,570 Series II models in six years,
So I would take it that you have 278,570 potential customers, minus the ones in the scrap yards. The older the units get, the more likely the problem. Of course some will buy replacement shafts from an oem style source, and some will pay a driveline shop to rework theirs. DIY owners would be interested in your product. We all understand that you would have one price for a single purchaser, and maybe little better price for a professional shop, and maybe a quantity price for a distributor.
I dare say there is engough business there for a number of suppliers and shops.
