Default Pulling 99 cdl today.

I'm pulling a 99 cdl to put in my 03. My question is do i have to drop the exhaust to pull the front part of the transfer case? Any help is appricated.

If you're just pulling the CDL and not the t-case, you do it all thru the center console. I might have gotten under twice to work something loose.

Also, don't just pull the shifter, also pull the aluminum housing beneath it, and get every piece of hardware that comes with it. It should look like this, but also you need the pins and clips to connect to the t-case:



Good luck with this. I thought it was a pretty major pain in the *** to install in my 01.

I plan on pulling the whole front of the transfer case off to put in my 03 since it has the non locking cdl. Thanks for the info on the shifter ill need to get all of that once i get this part of the transfer case swapped over!

He has an 03, he needs to remove everything.
