Do not use distilled water in an aluminum radiator. I thought we should only use distilled water?
Yeah, I remember reading that on the label too and thinking 'say what'. Wierd. Maybe it means straight distilled water? I don't know. It is very hypotonic andwould have the tendacy to attract minerals, but I wouldn't think itshould matter when mixed with antifreeze/coolant.

I thought you had to use distilled water because tap water contains minerals that will collect inside the rad and cause blockage. Like how the openings for a shower head get clogged over a period of time.
That Is why I use Distilled in my DII.

Ive been looking around on this and it seems to be a running debate..

Perhaps they are referring to not using it with "ONLY" distilled water???

Back to the original question, Purple Ice or Water Wetter can be used at any time to improve the efficiency of the cooling system and lesson the ware on the water pump.
Both are great products, I use Water Wetter in mine.

I also have water wetter in my disco right now. Though, I have a bottle of purple ice on my shelf in my garage. When summer comes around and it starts getting hot I'm going to drain the coolant and put in 70% water 30% coolant with purple ice.

Do I have to drain 16 oz of ethyl glycol out of the system to put in the whole bottle of Purple Ice?

If its that full, you did a great job burping the system..
I bet it will fit....
Even if you get half of the bottle in..
Thats more like what is called for isnt it??
