Quad oil coolers too much?
I have ran into this idea prior engine and radiator installation. Wondering if anyone has tried or success stories or thought about air flow. Ive got a new Hayden fan blade/clutch and aux fan on when ignition is on as well, any idea if airflow could be an issue. 2 trans coolers and 2 engine oil coolers.
Engine oil gets hotter than coolant and the air flow is in the direction from the oil cooler onto the coolant radiator. So it's safe to assume that the coolant doesn't get cooled, but probably even heated further up in those areas and the overall cooling effect is impacted negatively. For the transmission cooler I don't know, because I don't know the trans fluid temps.
I ran dual trans coolers and no oil cooler. No, you will not see a bearing effect of the coolant, but your effectiveness of cooling will be decreased.
If you tow or off road any I would recommend dual trans coolers and no oil cooler. If it's just a street vehicle I'd leave the stock coolers in place.

This truck is a hauler and lots of idle hours. She’s got an aluminum rad with the inline thermostat mod set with 170* stat, no catalytic converters, Hayden fan/clutch mods do some heat shielding. She has been doing well with miami heat driving and idling, just trying to make her better.
