Default questions on changing transmission filter

i have a 2003 disco and would like to change the the fliud and filter in transmission. filter has not been changed since 35,000 it is now 80000 ( necessary right). When i drop the pan is pretty straight forward when i look up in there. I read the "How To" in the thread but it does not mention the filter can someone please explain. I plan on purchasing the kit from rover connection.---thank

Your filter is still good though.

Follow that write up, its pretty simple, just unbolt the old one and then bolt back in the new one.
Just pay attention to your O-rings.
Change the fluid every 30,000 miles and the filter every 60,000.
It never hurts to change a filter early.

If you stay with the factory recommended services, and have done a fluid change at the 60K then a filter is not needed in a D2 till the 120K mark, just another fluid change.
