Default ZF xmission, what size TORX for filter?

2004 Land Rover Discovery II, what size TORX is it that fits the fasteners on filter? I know it is a TORX, because I had pan off once. The all electronic controlled zf xmission may be different from earlier non electronic ones, I don't know.

T-27, but like a lot of tools, cheaper to buy a set rather than make multiple trips to the store.

It's less than 5 dollars for a set of 12 torx wrenches at Lowes.

When I changed my filter the previous owner had torqued it on so tight that I had to dremel off some plastic and use vice grips to remove one of the bolts. They're only supposed to be in there at around 15lb ft or so...

Default Thanks, guys, for the help

I have a fairly good set of tools, BUT have only a couple of Torx floating around, so I knew I needed to buy some, Since I have this Discovery II xmission filter waiting to be put in, I wanted to know for sure what size Torx it used before I bought set of them. Thanks for all the generous help; it is appreciated.

There are only a handful of even useful torx bits. Buy a set (like 5 pieces) and you'll have 99% of what you'll ever need for any vehicle.

Except those stupid security ones like on the MAF. As soon as I find someone with that wrench I'm taking mine off and replacing with normal people torx bolts.
