Thanks guys, I'll probably switch to the rotella 5-40 in the winter. With all that being said I put the oil in the other day and it seems to be fine. Really no complaints the original owner used the same oil.

 

The first couple of changes with rotella my oil was super black. Third change and on it gets dark brown at worst. I did my headgaskets about a year after switching to rotella and everything was noticeably cleaner than what I saw with the previous change... difference under the valve covers was stark.
