I was going to suggest checking power behind the radio and that would tell you if your radio is bad or not, but yeah it is common to find fuses for other things like that. usually since radios have a constant power and a switched power, one will be fused through the lighter or the instruments fuse and one will be fused through the radio fuse. Useful auto tip: if somethings power is out it is best to get a continuity checker (little fuse tester) and check every fuse!

 

Yeah, I have something like that. Got it at Wal-Mart for like, $5-$6 when I was troubleshooting the trailer hookup on the Jeep. Everything except the left side lights worked. Wound up just replacing the whole converter. The tester works great, it lights up different colors for whichever way you are testing the circuit.
