Default range rover vibration Help !!!

Hi guys im new to this site and have herd good things so hopefully someone can help ,I recently bought my first range rover [4.4 vogue se 2003 ] and found that as im driving when I approach 25-30 mph the vehicle begins to shudder ! but if I continue accelerating and pass this speed the vibrations stop, ive had a quick look at the propshaft on inspection the u joints look ok relatively new. Is it possible the shaft has been taken out and put back in the wrong place and is now unbalanced ? or do I need a new shaft ? hopefully its not a gearbox fault , also if I drive in manual the shuddering does not happen ! any help would be much appreciated I look forward to hearing ideas.

First of all you posted this in the forum for Discovery II owners so you might want to post over in the forum for Range Rovers. I'm not even sure if the Vogue was sold in the USA which is where I am, I thought it was mainly in sold in the UK, Oz, NZ and ZA.

Potential U-joint failure related problems are not easy to identify by an exterior inspection. Often it is only when they are disassembled that serious problems are evident. And with the potential for the front prop shaft to break loose and cause some real damage you might wan to take it to a shop that can remove and inspect it. Balance weights don't normally just fall off but a driveline shop can always inspect or rebalance it.

Hope that is of some help! Best of luck.
