Default Really slow putting gas in 2000 rover

I picked up my (new to me) 2000 Rover today from the mechanic who just finished a new head gasket job. I stopped to fill up and I could only put in a little bit of gas at a time. Is the problem the fuel vent hose that I have read about. I found a great thread on how to replace this but before doing that I want to make sure thats the issue.
Thanks,

Yes.

Now here are a few things to try first, try a different gas station and put the pump on the slowest setting.
If no change take a bottle of injector cleaner and using a small funnel pour the injectgor cleaner down the vent tube.
If still no change then replace the vent tube.

Default Compressed air??

After putting some injector cleaner down the vent hose, would it be bad if I shot some compressed air down that hole?
Thanks,
