Default Rear Brake Piston Won't Retract

I set out on a quick brake pad change two hours ago and here I am. I cannot get the driver's side rear brake piston to retract for the life of me. I broke two c-clamps trying and even rented the piston tool from Advance Auto. Any tips?

Nope it should retracted fiarly easily, you could try cracking thr bleeder screw. But if it requires that much pressure to retract it will freeze up again. Jmho

Sadly, drowssap is right. It's rust or corrosion which usually seizes the piston into the caliper bore and even taking it apart and polishing the piston and bore will probably work OK for awhile but once the coating is worn off the corrosion will set back in. Problem is the rear calipers don't work anything like as hard as the fronts so they don't get the 'exercise' needed.
