Default Rear door keeps locking when I close it. Pin pops down. Rest of car is unlocked.

Only opens the from inside.
Lock pin (the black thing that sticks out to lock and unlock the door) keeps popping down when let go. Not electronically, but like its sprung to go back down.
When using the key or interior button to unlock it, the pin never moves.
I have to climb over the back seat and use the interior rear door handle to open the gate, which pops the pin up until the door closes again.
What's going on?

It's a long shot but try greasing the locking mechanism with a little WD40. Perhaps the catch is getting caught up and locking inadvertently. I had a similar problem not so long ago. Good luck.

IDK, but mine does exactly the opposite! ah, the joys of Landy ownership...

Replace the latch / locking module / mechanism.
That is the only way.

Eventually, they will ALL fail.
get used to it.

Mine is doing the same thing... Just going to replace the workings when I get around to it.. Driver's door is similar... Have to unlock manually only.
