Rear door for Subs?? Don't see any..
So I'm going to add a single 10" sub for some extra beat to when I jam out AC/DC... is there any reason why I can just cut a hole in the rear door? (I'm never selling it, so it won't matter) I am googling around for ideas, but not seeing any.. I don't care for rap or loud bass, but I do like to feel the beat to good music..
Can anyone give me some DIY ideas for a single rear sub in the door?? I have a full wood work shop in my garage along with every other tool in the world.. But, I'd like to keep it low key and in the rear door if I could.. I'm not excited about the jump seat boxes...

I considered doing something similar, in fact I had two 12's in mine for a short time, I'm a bit of an audiophile. However, Ive decided that I'm just going to upgrade the weak factory component woofers with some really nice aftermarket units, and do the same in the factory positions in the rear door.
Six 6" woofers of good quality should put out plenty of low range
Don't need a lot of bass under 80htz anyways for rock. Even with a system that rattled my windows up and down the frequency range, I hardly ever heard the subs with AC/DC lol.

I'd be willing to bet it would rattle pretty bad.
I did for a while have a 10" in one of the side pockets in the back. I built a box to fit inside then cut a hole in the side of the pocket and mounted the sub through it. The sub held the box and the side picket together.
I think I also stuck some screws through the back of the box into the inside of the pocket to keep it more rigid.
