Default Rear sunroof problem

The rear sunroof is stuck, it only can go back, then if I'm lucky it will return but cannot go down. Both the front and rear switches click, but the rear sunroof does not move or make a sound when trying to put back into the closed position? Then it works when I click it the other way and the roof opens normally. Just trying to close it, is the problem...

you can manually close it with a 5 or 6mm hex wrench. remove plastic cover tab on the overhead plastic thingy. find correct size wrench, get wrenching. US was the only market with power sunroofs. everybody else got the hand cranks. have seen hand cranks avail at bputah.

I have this same problem and tried the manual cranking and it felt like something was binding underneath and made it very difficult to still close. If you have that problem then your sunroof rails may have gotten missed aligned and will require you to remove the sunroof glass (4 bolts holding glass) to realigned the rails.
