Got a couple of leaking steering boxes that are sitting around. Since I am pretty much done with the rover, I thought I would learn how to repair them. There seems to be varying degrees of rebuild kits out there. I don’t plan to do major overhauls- just replacing seals I think.
Atlantic British has a cheap 3 seal kit for $22 but there are ones on eBay that have quite a few more parts to them. Which should I get?

After looking under my discovery last night I was pondering much the same as you. Most things on these vehicles can be rebuilt so I'd imagine the steering box can't be all that hard can it? Somewhere between a wiper blade and a frame swap I'd suppose haha.
The steering box rebuild steps are covered in the workshop manual. I bought a whole set of parts, including that little nylon tipped seal set screw that costs over $20 by itself. That was on my first truck, so I was in learning mode, and PS fluid was everywhere. The procedure is easy enough, and I learned how it all works, and the adjustments (it takes a touch).
For my second truck I left it alone because it was more effort than I wanted to spend, for little benefit. I just put new hoses on it, and it's been great. It really depends on what you want. Read through the manual, then decide.
