Default Steering Box Advice

A while back I had a terrible leak in my steering box. Rather than spend a ton of money, I thought I would just get one pulled out of salvage. No more leaks, but when turning to the right, the steering sticks briefly going back to center. So looks like my gamble was a bust. I have two steering boxes - one which seems to have a seal issue and the other a mechanical? issue. Do I:
  1. Buy the $80 seal kit and replace the seals on my old one?
  2. Buy a remanufactured one and trade in a core?
Haven't found good documentation for doing the seals. I remember @Sixpack577 said that if he had to do it over again, we would a bought before rebuilding. Thoughts?

I seem to remember reading that the internal seals don't come with the kit or are very hard to get in right. So I bought a Vision box from Rockauto and it has been good. I need to replace seals or tighten the PS lines going into the it as they are leaking a little bit.

Do you think it might be the knuckle at the base of the steering shaft before it attaches to the steering box? You can buy replacements for that knuckle and replace really easily.
Might want to try that before doing the box again.

No the steering shaft is brand new. I’m going to try and adjust the steering box first.
