Default Recomendations for a OBDII reader

As mentioned my 3 amigos flash on while drivng once and awhile but turn off if I pull over and restart the engine. This would make it hard to have diagnosed as it is so unpredictable. I am considering buying a OBDII reader that would be compatable with the Land Rover and hopefully also Toyota (my wife's car). I figure it is just like my other tools in my tool cart, just a long term investment but also want to get one that is good value for the money.

Any suggestions? I found this one after doing a google search and lists some LR models as having been tested on but not the Discovery (I have emailed them with a question on that).

Depends on how technical you are and how much information you want and can understrand.
Basic OBD2 scanners from $50 and up will work on eithe vehicle, the more expensive, the more they will tell you.
None will work on your 3 Omigos, those scanners start at about $3000 and up.
