Default Remote key fob not working

6 to 8 weeks ago, I had an issue where my remote didn't work to disarm the alarm and immobiliser, and even using the key in the door (turn the key to unlock, locks open but alarm stays on) and got it diagnosed as a car battery issue. Replaced it and everything worked fine until a few days ago where the same issue came back, remote not working and key in the door not turning off the alarm/immob.

Completed the EKA process to at least allow me to use the door lock to arm/disarm the system, but remote doesn't work.

I don't have the airbags deflating, but I do have this continuous slight noise (i.e. I can just about hear it) from the SLS system which I wonder is draining my battery just slightly so my alarm/remote doesn't work properly. Keys in doors do now, but remote is a no go.

I have a new battery in the remote as well.

Car run fine when started (after all my previous work :-)) but the remotes have just stopped working.

Suggestions to start looking - is this a simple resetting of the remotes to the car?

I would look to codes, but my OBD tool is not connecting to the ECU yet.
