Has anyone installed a Remote Start kit in their Disco 1? If so, advice on brands or installation would be appreciated.

Hello.
I have done remote start install. Anything can pretty much go in. I have a viper system in 95 Disco it really doesn't matter. What questions do you have?

 

I was planning to do this myself. I was wondering if there were any particular units that work best in Land Rovers – and perhaps installation tips or suggestions.

 

No really (0 percent of the connections you need to make are on the driver under dash. You need to find the anti-theft module in the truck. (grab a copy of a Rave cd). To cab go to www.the12volt.com for wiring info for remote starter.Hit me back for more details.Good luck.
