Default Remove gear shift **** on 2002 discovery

Need to free up my 4 low changer seen vids on how to get in there but my main shifter has switch at front squeeze to move don’t want to brake it does it unscrew ???? Vids don’t show me that nothing on the site that I can find.
ok some posts piped up just yank it upward realy

Pull it straight up, but keep your nose out of the way. When it releases it really releases.

I know it sounds stupid, but the best way I've been able to manage is to put it in neutral so it's roughly straight up, and then straddle yourself over the transmission tunnel, and then pull straight up sort of in a deadlift position.

thank you I will try tomorrow I was doubtful landys being so complicated this is so simple who knew.
