Default Pouring antifreeze around water pump.

So I went to put antifreeze in while car is off and started pouring out somewhere around water pump. I thought it was a hose clamp but it wasnt. Any ideas? The temp gauge never went above half way. It didnt run funny, or idle funny. But it started smoking when I parked, opened the hood and antifreeze was sprayed every where and still half left in reservoir. But 25min later when I unscrewed the reservoir cap it started POURING out from somewhere.

Hard to tell, but looks like a bad 4-way connector. If it is, this should fix it.

Looks like it's coming from north of the 4-way. Examine the hose clamps attaching to your thermostat. Best by far way to troubleshoot it so go to auto zone and rent a coolant pressure tester kit. Dead simple to use and you can simulate the engine being without it being on. Super easy to spot leaks.

Several years ago a friend of mine with an '04 DII had a really bad leak from the front cover gasket. It was just like you describe; coolant would flow out from that leak as fast as you could pour it in the reservoir. The mechanic who fixed it for him said he had never seen a leak that bad.
