Pressure test the block. If that passes, then have your machine shop pressure test your heads (heads can crack internally). If that also passes, then have your heads decked, then use a new gasket on each side and button her back up.

The fire extinguisher system in my race cars was similar only it had multiple heads and was all plumbed into the engine bay and gearbox area and had a large gas bottle but manual initiation not automatic. A BIG red **** on the front externally to initiate the extinguisher usually by the Marshall's. It was mandatory on race cars and a scrutineers checked item every time. (They hated burned bodies at race meetings .............. so darned messy

)Wrecks *can* under some circumstances knock out a driver, preventing Manual detonation of fire extinguisher systems.
In contrast, there are several inexpensive automatic fire extinguishers that are activated by heat melting an alloy metal or plastic trigger.
Those literally can NOT fail to spray in case of fire.
I've used Fire Foe and there is now an Elide ball that you can buy for about $80.
