It sounds like you have it under control. If the headliner needs recovering or replacement it sounds like the ideal time. In all honesty I would replace the sunroof seals whilst they respray the D2 roof, there are 2# seals to each sunroof. One between the roof and sunroof frame and one between the glass and sunroof frame. Be sure to use some good quality marine grade silicon mastic on the seal to the D2 roof. Check the drain cups on all sunroofs as they harden and leak around the perimeter and the plastic to rubber hose spigots break off easily. Rough the surface of the drain cups and apply 2 pack epoxy across them totally. Replace the spigots where necessary and epoxy them in well. Good luck, hope it works well.
Also - remove the motors - there are several small cuts and one semicircle gap in the pan - seal those with silicone. Also one point indentation to the right of the driven gear - it will leak from there also - hit that with silicone.

I painted my roof with plasti-dip spray myself. It has held up really well and looks great.

Hi Aj6543,

The very minimum I would pre-buy would be 2# EEQ500010 sunroof to D2 roof seals (assuming you have 2# sunroofs) and some marine grade silicon mastic to set them in.

It's worth checking that part number because it may have been superceded.

You can also buy the sunroof glass seals as the headliner will be removed and the glass rarely re-seats exactly in the same position.

It's also worth doing the epoxy on the drain cups and also the drain spigots.
