"It took me about 5 hours to replace my sparkplugs and wires (taking my time). If I had this direction the job would have been 3 hours tops. For the wires alone 2 hours."

Wow, Mike says a real pro can do a compete headgasket job in five hours... You must suck! .....

Seriously though, great post! I'm sure I'll use it in the future.

ojsdna - where do you live ? i got one of those new-fangled scanner things that clears the codes. it also reads them, transfers them to my laptop and makes popcorn too. but i digress. if you are close you are welcome to use my scanner.

most anyone here will recommend Magnecor 8mm wires. People use different plugs, I use Bosch Platinum 4+ which is also widely used around here.

magnecor 8mm wires, bosch platinum +4 plugs
i found it way easier to just unhook all the wires from the coils, change the plugs, then install the new wires one at a time

awesome thread, thanks!!

for this pic, which nuts were removed, the ones facing the wall or the nuts next to the IM?

tomorrow I'm buying a 10 mm wrench, don't have one. I can't get a socket down there.

also, being the cheapskate I am, I ordered the regular wires from atlantic british. reading everything wish I would have bought the magnecors, but it's too late.

Send the wires back to AT and get some good 8mm Magnacor wires which they don't carry.
You install something else, they will turn around and bite you.
So, not wanting to read all the posts, do you have SAI and do you think you can do this without removing the manifold?
