Replacement subwoofer opinions and other stuff
so in your opinion should I leave the factory thermostat in as it still works or make the switch? I cleaned the radiator with a wire brush and mild cleaner but I can get to the two extra radiators in between the condenser. What are those Transmission coolers. I’ll probably take it to a wash station to blast wash it through everything!
I have had the 195 thermostat in for about a year and rarely see temps above 201 even on the hottest day and at idle with the A/C blasting. That is with the original radiator as well so I know some of it at least has to be clogged. I would say a 195 or the 180 but no reason to go lower.
I have a 180 thermostat in my '03 D2, typically see 199F with swings from 185F (coasting downhill) to ~205F under load (90+F outside temp, A/C on, uphill 70+mph).
I did just replace my stock grille with a home made mesh one (cut a stock grille out to use as a frame and replaced the center with mesh) and saw 197F this morning as the cruising along moderate load 50mph speed temp.

well factory it is then! I am in the process of fixing a few things. My maf sensor decided it wanted to take a crap! So 20 dollar sensor it is on amazon! Now to still find a cheap headunit! 🤔

That’s not bad! My truck runs excellent! I’m probably gonna run a 60/40 or 70/30 coolant ratio for the heat here. I doesn’t get cold in the winter here really. May be 40 degrees at most on an odd day! I have to get a new upper radiator hose assembly!
