If you are going in there, don't forget to replace the engines rear main seal and the front tranny seal.
Because after the major leak devloped under the bell housing, and it was red transmssion fluid, I pulled the inspection plate to the bell housing and found a huge chunk of metal.. Assuming its flywheel, but wont be sure until I have it completely taken apart... getting close..

Again the truck grinds in park and won't engage any gears, so its pretty clear that the Torque Converter and Flywheel/Flx Plate are no longer connected..

have you started it with the inspection plate off, to see if you can see what is going on or not depending on the case.

Here are some pics of the busted Flexplate for my truck...

So when I find my weight on the harmonic balancer, do I just make sure that my flexplate weight is aligned with it??

So I found my weight to be 10g on the Harmonic Balancer..
Is the weight supposed to be on my flex-plate or is it located on the fly-wheel?? I can't seem to find it on the flex-plate..
My Fly-wheel is in good condition so I don't need to replace that, so does that mean i just bolt up a new torque converter and flex-plate to the flywheel and not worry about weights?

I just went out and felt around my Flywheel and don't feel any weights on it..
