Good news: Found the coolant leak. I forgot to tighten down one of the top hoses clamps.


Bad news: P0171 and P0174 returned.


Most def runs better. I am thinking it's the MAF and/or Post O2 Sensors.


Ughhhhhhh!

 

Had a loose clamp on the MAF. Cleaned up the MAF again. Put silicone on the o-ring and tightened up the clamps.


Reset codes and drove around. Even took it for a car wash, so far so good. Driving it to work tomorrow as it is not ready per ODB reader.

looks like he had a small motorcycle battery on the bench, a lot of injector will open with a simple 9 vt battery

 

If your post cat O2's are throwing codes, they are doing their job, you probably need cat's. Watch your live data with your reader, your rear O2's need to have a steady voltage flow, not voltage jumping all over the board.

 

I used a 12v ATV battery that I had laying around. Nothing special.

 

Success! Put about 70 miles on it on the highway as well as street. No check light. Ran the status on my odb reader to make sure it was ready for smog. Once verified, I immediately took it to my smog guy. She passed!!

I'll chime back in after a few weeks if the CEL stayed off or came back.
