Default replacing rotors on 2001 discovery 2

I am in the process of replacing the front pads and rotors on my 2001 discovery 2. I took the caliper off, however the bracket that holds the caliper is in the way to take the rotor off. My rave manual does not state anything about removing the bracket that holds the caliper. It just states to remove the screw. I am missing something here? Any help would be appreciated...... Now that I looked at it again I see I needed to remove the star looking bolts to take off the entire unit. Do I need a different kind of socket to get that off? Also I noticed some tool might be necessary to pull the rotor. Any chances of using a rubber hammer?

Yes, you'll need a different style socket, can't remember the name of that style socket or the size, sorry.
You will also have to remove the #4 phillips screw that holds the rotor to the hub.
Make sure you do a full 3 to 4 pint brake flush after wards using DOT 4 fluid.

It is a 19mm 12 point socket.
