I thought you already had a tranny set up?
What is the difference in price between a rebuilt and a used one?

I would say .2 miles is a good used tranny.....

Seriously, these are good transmissions. Depending on the price and warranty theat comes with it, a tranny under 50K should be fine...

to keep it brief, the shop ordered a used tranny from fort worth saslvage some thing or other and it comes with a 6 month warranty plus what ever allstate ads. but it got 88k on it. they ordered yesterday but told me today! its suppused to be here on friday. it cost $500 more than the rebuilt one plus if ordered at the same time they arrive at the same time. I am kinda pissed they didn't consult me when i instructed them too.
There is no foul if you guys tell me this tranny is ok since i am not paying for it now... but i am low on funds as it is and every night is another $80 bucks in a hotel... but its worth it to stay longer if the rebuitl roverland tranny is that much better.

roverland tranny's aren't rebuilt, just cleaned and painted. How many miles do you have on yours?----oops, just saw your sig after posting. YOu are taking 10K off your tranny. ...I would say the used one is fine, especially with a 6 month warranty. They will probably flush it when they install it, so if that holds ok after, you should be ok...

Plus you don't have to mess with the core deposit. Might even see if they will let you take your old one home with you. You can take it apart, get all of the chunks out and patch the hole. Someone may buy it from you....
