I have an 03 and some people told me that when you replace your ignition wires that you sometimes need to remove your intake plenum resuting in replacing the gasket. Do you think I should buy thegasket assuming that ill need to replace it? thanks...

First of all, yes the intake has to be removed mainly because of the seconday air getting in the way. How many miles on your truck and how mechanical are you?

Then you can definitely do it. It really is just a matter of removing hoses and unbolting. RAVE is actually the most efficient way to go about things. The only things that may not be obvious are:
- the purge valve hose: look under the rubber surround and push down on the grey tab and pull out. I had a little resistance with this one, but be careful not to break.
- the brake servo hose: push in on red ring and then just pull out. This one will come out super easy so if it doesn't stop and have another look.

also, the coolant fittings off the TB are plastic so be careful not to break those off when removing clamps.

Oh, and the dealer wanted $1,100 to do mine. I got everything- Magnecor wires, LR plugs and gasket from Rover Connection for ~$250

The OEM wires are only 7MM and tend to fail permaturely from the heat that is retained by the aluminum block. Get a set of 8MM Magnacor wires when you are doiing it.. They are the most proven wires for your Rover, and they have a lifetime guarantee...
