Lightbulb Report on steering shudder/wobble/shaking cured...

Hi.
On agressive braking at high speeds, the severe steering shaking was getting scary. Even cruising without applying brakes, mild wobbling was noticeable.
Noticed also that rotors where running hot without applying brakes.

Replaced front calipers and rotors. -Solved, problem is completely gone-
And that is without replacing pads yet. They are backordered.

There can be more "parts" to it, if you search Death Wobble. It is like one or two things are the problem, but triggered by a third thing that throws the vehicle into oscillation.

It never is the steering damper. For me it was all the tie rod ends, and a sticking rear caliper.

Amen on the scary braking at speed, especially when turning like a sharp exit off expressway. You wonder if you are going to make a new exit ramp and start off roading at 75 mph....
