That's what I thought.
I think someone may have accidentally typed that the other way around up there. or maybe I'm just reading it wrong?

I'm not sure of the terminology, but D2 rims fit in a center hub on the axle.

I put some LR3 rims on a D2 that did not have the matching hole for the center hub to fit into and they would shake a higher speeds.

I always thought the term was hub centric, meaning they fit onto the center hub.

ok, I am confused (for the 12th time ,today)
I thought the stock set up was hub centric on the 72.56 (?) bore. balancing/centering on they hub.
aftermarkets are usually accommodating but not hub, rather lug, centric. balanced/centering via 5 nuts

no?

I may have typed it wrong but I was pretty sure the rims centered on the hub that is why adapters are needed to run the LR3 rims without issue as the center bore is larger on the LR3

Well, that would be hub centric like you said then I think?

I'm glad this came up cause I have been confused about this and still kinda. I've never been much of an aftermarket wheel guy, so never really tried to look into it much.

So since the original wheels set into the hub like dusty and abran pointed out (I'd never noticed that), and I wanted to use other wheels that didn't set into the hub, then I guess I would need the other type lugs like dusty mentioned to match lug centric wheels?

Don't seem like that would be as sturdy?

Someone here was saying they used 15" wheels from an S-10 I think, but I looked into that and the lug pattern was not exactly right.. if I remember it was a few mm off.
