RIP Winston, the 2004 D2
So sad. Reminds me of the (self imposed) death of my first D2. After debate, I decided to stay in the D2 game and just kept it as a parts machine, which worked out really well. Food for thought?
The one I got after that was my favorite D2, which if you followed my dorky “build” thread saw eventually got sold as the boss was tired of me working on it so much.
The 2 I have now will probably be with me for the duration as the boy is down with getting one as his first car, so at least I’ll be keeping him off drugs as he gets to driving age.
I feel your pain and but I’d probably keep it for parts and start the search for another. I only lasted 2 years before I had to get another one.

Winston has gone to Co-Part in New Britain, CT. I know from crawling under him prior to the accident that the frame was in bad shape. I just do not have the time and garage space to bring him back to life. I will miss him, and I still have all the spots he marked his territory in my garage to remind me.
