good job. You didn't find anything loose? Do a test run and see what happens. Hopefully your ABS is fixed now

The rattle was part of one of my old ball joints impossibly perched in a crevice in top of the axle. Hahaha

The three amigos are still in but the abs and tc work. I guess I have to reset the computer.

Even if you physically fix a codeable fault it will still appear on an OBD2 scan until you clear that particular fault from the ECU software.

Ah. Thanks France. I guess that can wait til Dusty nanocoms me.

In the interest of completeness I always swapped driveshafts. Turns out the squeaking wasn't the Ujoints. Found a good use for the winch that made it faster... I hooked it to my pickup and ooched it forward every time I needed to reach a new bolt. Probably not OSHA approved for safety but cut my time in half.
