More like a rhythmic hum at 65+mph. Maybe about 2hz.
When i turn the car slightly to the left it goes away.
The truck tracks straight, no issue with alignment.

Any ideas where to start?

Sounds like front drivers side wheel bearing if it disappears turning left or could be auto or transfer box bearings but less likely. I reckon front LHS wheel bearing, usually barely audible a low speeds but slightly louder around 55 to 75 mph.

Default thank you

Great response!

This makes sense, as my three amigos is coming back intermittently lately. replaced the shuttle valve a year ago.

Also, need to do the front brakes too. good timing.

Is there any value in a used front hub? Or is that a fools erand?

Thanks,

Go for a new hub. It is just one of those things that you don't really buy used because they wear out.

Ditto on wheel bearing.

I did used hub assembly from Paul Grant for a considerable savings. And its still good 30k miles later.

Offroad France, good to see you are still kicking.

Now if we can just get Dusty back, the bands all here!

The 2 Hz part could be related to different L&R tires circumference. By wear, brand or inflation.
I did lubricate noisy wheel bearings successfully and extended their lives. So far, two+ years, and noise vanished.

Glad to be alive and kicking, but as they say, it's never over till it's over.

It would be great to see/hear from Dusty, he's a real gem and trooper with lots of LR knowledge and very humorous and dry with it

IMHO as the price of new hubs is relatively cheap now IMO go for a new hub albeit Pauls are probably good and original items they can still expire as can new but the difference is the new has at least a one year warranty.

Default Brit Part

There is TAY100060 by Brit Part for ~$100. seems much less than others, any reason not to buy it?
