My '99 Disco II has been hesitating to change gears, the RPM's stay around 2 or a bit over and don't want to change up. It actually will not change until it's up to around 50mph. Any clue what could be causing this? When gas was so high I cheated and put Regular gas in to save a buck, but now I've gone back to Premium due to heavy vibration at acceleration after the 3rd tank of Regular. Could this be the cause? What can I do other than run Premium? Should I add Octane Booster or Fuel Injector Cleaner? Please help, I'm hoping I didn't kill my truck![]

 

I am also noticing vibrations when running at < 3000 RPM's. I make it a point to use 93 octane fuel but still the vibration continues. It feels like it is coming from the transmission. has anyone else experienced this?

 

Lucas makes some very good products. Not only for the engine (oil and gas additives), but they make an excellent transmission fluid.

 

So you would recommend using this line of Products for my Rover? I guess I could give it a try...what experience have you had with it?

 

I added the Lucas Oil Stablizer and immediately noticed a difference in my engine's performance. Good call! I am going to ad dthe Transmission Fizer this weekend and expect the same results. Thanks for the tip on Lucas products.
