Default seat heaters, disco 2

What could my problem be if the drivers side seat heater started getting really really hot over about a month or so whenI usedit,it just seemed like it got so hot on colder days but maybe that was just me. Now the drivers side does not work at all and the passenger side seat heater still works. Is there a fuse for either side I thought the fuses for them went to both so if one still works it can't be that could it or did it kill the coils or whatever is inside the seatsand how do you fix it?

There is a fuse for each seat heater, I believe it is under the front seats.
As for the overheating, I have heard of it happening before but am not sure what causes it or if your seat heater has failed.
