I have not moved to Rotella 15w x 40 yet.

That is my next move. I’ve only done one oil change so far and that was with high mileage 10w x 40.

They block the liner's vertical clearance.

I assume a 94mm bore Cometic MLS gasket would achieve this then, right?

@11chuck that is the general idea, it does assume you keep the Disco in good shape. You may also require a switch to ARP studs get a good confirmed torque all the way around.
