Default Serpentine Belt

I was curious if the fan must be removed to change the serpentine belt or can you slip the belt on and off over it?

Thanks,

No, just remove the tension on the belt tensioner and slip the old belt of. Make sure you put the new one back on the same direction of the pulleys.

What Mike said. But also look at the Rave manual to see the procedure. It takes a 15 mm soket/wrench.

I do not have the ACE system, so my belt bypassed it, but it follows the diagram provided by the belt manufacturer. I started to loop it back from the top clockwise, it was a bit of a pain. But all is good now. Advanced auto part number 5070923 for NON ACE 2000 Discovery.
