Service Engine Light & P1884 code.
Just when I think my Disco is nearly good to go I get another set back. My service engine light came on. I hooked up my iCarsoft LRII and got a P1884 code and about 7 DTC's.
1.) 0056 DTC fault is not in the data base.
2.)Secondary Air Valve Power fault
3.)Cannister Purge Valve fault (power stage)
4.)Purge Cannister Vent valve/DMTL Power stage fault.
5.) Leakage detection module motor power stage error
6.) Mass air flow sensor fault
7.)Camshaft sensor fault/Valve timing error.
8.) Lambda sensor upstream cattalyst bank 1
9.) P1884 Land Rover ( the fault code is not found in the database)
I did a search on google for the P1884 and I found a old entry on another Land Rover forum where the poster said check your 15A fuse F2 in the engine bay to see if it's blown? If it is start checking your o2 sensors wires arn't rubbing or shorting to ground?
My fuse was blown and the wires on down stream driver side o2 sensor were exposed and frayed. Someone not me removed the protective housing leading to the frayed wires.
Would these frayed wires cause all the other troubles? Am I going to be chasing all these issues down? Or if I repair the o2 sensor wires the rest of them go away?
