If the rocks were wet at all it would have been even easier to cut them. At 50K you should have wanted some new ones anyways. Good luck with the new selection.

The ones with the sidewall damage held air. The one with the puncture through the tread did not. Right now, none of them are holding air since I replaced them yesterday with DuraTracs. World of difference.

I went from 255/70-16 General Grabber AT2's to 265/75-16 DuraTrac's. With the AT2's there was some serious roll when I turned. I don't notice it at all with the Duratracs, and it is a bigger tire. Much beter handling and braking with the Duratracs...very impressed so far.

The tires rolling over when your corner was because the sidewall was not stiff enough, a 2ply tire is way to soft for these trucks.
What ply are your Duratracs?

When you run under inflated tires are generally easier to damage. So that's a risk when you air down.

I thought the opposite were true. Higher pressure equals less give and therefore more prone to damage. I usually run 40 psi all around on the road. I air down to 25 off road. I've been told that I don't air down enough and need to go to 10-13psi. That seems really low to me.
