This is the plastic junction that is on the hose that goes to the water pump/expansion tank/heater core/etc. In earlier models it was a molded hose, but later on and all replacements now have the plastic 4 way junction.

Abran, what will this piece be made of, please, and why will it be superior to the original? I think I remember seeing some examples where the plastic deteriorated and crumbled over time. And even if it were only made of the same material as the factory original it will still be valuable to some versus replacing the entire hose assembly, I suppose.

I'm probably living on borrowed time; my truck still has the original molded hose.

Ours will be aluminum. The molded hose one fails at that junction as well. I guess too many seams. Aluminum will not deteriorate
