Hey, dgtrawick5, if your truck is having a slight rough idle like the title of this thread, is the Service Engine Soon light on? If so, get the diagnostic trouble codes read and then start a new thread to let us know what you found.

This community loves to help, but we need good information to do that. Without diagnostic codes you (we) are just guessing, throwing away parts, money and time.

 

Hey, so the recurring code is P0441. I’ve put in a new Bosch purge and it is functioning properly according to my mechanic. Replaced leak detection pump with new because he said it wasn’t functioning. Now beginning to think it’s a clogged charcoal canister because I do have trouble occasionally having the gas pump cut off on me while filling. Any thoughts that clogged charcoal canister could cause semi-rough idle?

 

...thanks for the tip, I'm gonna look into this; my 2K2-DISCO-S2-SE has a rough idle along with a misfire code from cyl 5 that I'm through the swapping-parts phase to try and rule out (already swapped plug, wire is next), but my fan does has some blades messed up and isn't in the best of shapes -it was already in my list of parts-to-replace.
