I'm very interested seeing as how I can pay for everything in cash because you live in Kirkland.

also the shop has a laser cnc mill so anything i want to make up to 3" think plate steel is no problem =)

they agreed to make me any design i bring them. all i need is specific designs and dimensions. so if anyone has those and can send them to me that would help a lot.

If everything goes according to plan and I don't have some crazy change of heart over the next 4 days, the rig will be purchased on Monday and I'll once and for all be apart of the family.

do like my dad taught me,,,

even if you have to stretch just a little bit, get what you really want. otherwise you will just wish you had in the first place and regret it.

i originally budgeted 10k for a rover, wanting to find a good well maintained rig with good mods like a lift, tires, maybe a winch bumper etc. knowing i would be getting something in the late 90's with 100-120k miles.

now i really really wanted a 04SE,,,, so when i found mine up in Mt. Vernon and not only did they have a 04SE in silver but also in Green i knew i had to at least check them out or i would regret it. the green rig had 90k miles and spotty service history, but looked AMAZING! had 16" wheels with ok rubber.

the silver one had 49,000 miles and was spotless in and out and under. had a full history up to the 45k service. had 18" HSE wheels and the dealer was willing to replace the stock tires for me. drove and sounded good.

the green rig was a tad over 10k and the silver was asking 13k. i walked away and went back a week later with 13k in hand. made a offer for 12k. we settled on 12,200. they made some money and i didnt overpay by much. i am always happy to pay a little to a small quality dealer who treats you well vs. a big LR dealer who treats you like slime if you dont have 100k liquid in your bank account.

oddly enough i made up my mind to get my rig and when i was there signing the papers for it a guy literally had just come to pick up the green rover. talked to him about why he chose one over the other. he said he wanted the silver one but could not come up with the extra cash before i had called the dealer and told em to hold it. so i almost lost out on my rig,,, anywho i am sure there was a moral to that story but its 3am and being that i loaded up on pain killers awhile ago i am not sure what the moral was.

Right, and I think thats something that would go over very well in the LR community. Just think... when people say "where can I get off road accessories" we'll reply, Sloppy is the MAN to talk to.
