It looks like the fuel line is a few different sections. From your description it sounds like your leak is in section #1 of the picture shown below:

If you need that fuel line new here are the part numbers. As you can see there is a difference in the SAI and non SAI hoses. And for once the hose with SAI is the cheaper option.

Hose with SAI- $200 part#RNN896
Hose without SAI- $660 part#RNN895 (Here is one on EBAY used for $85)

(and no, I don't think that the coupler will restrict flow to much. However I would only consider that a temporary fix. If the hose is already cracked chances are the whole thing needs to be replaced soon or you will have more leaks in time.)

It's the section from the fuel pump to the first coupler but ouch, $200. I will be using a coupler or new section of hose from the parts store. hose doesn't feel hard or rotted but does have a pin hole or maybe rubbed on the frame?. I should probably replace the complete section but, It won't be a genuine LR part.
thanks

well, I went and got 1/4" and 5/16" brass couplers that slip inside the line, pulled the line out to the outside of the frame where I could get to it, found the pinhole leak, and it was a tiny pinhole, I could barely see it spraying out. I cut the line right where the hole was and what do you know, it had one of the hard plastic lines inside the soft rubber line.
Inside diameter of the rubber line is 5/16" and inside diameter of the hard plastic line is 1/4" so, I put the 1/4" coupler in and clamped it down. I did have to leave the rubber line over it so the clamp would work as it would not get small enough for just the hard line. I left it all on the outside of the frame so I could check it to be sure it wasn't leaking and it's not but I am going to get 1/4" rubber fuel line and replace it all. I will never trust the hard plastic line with the clamps. I'm afraid the it will crack or split where I put the coupler into it since, it was a very tight fit and also since everything on LR made of plastic get's brittle and breaks.

So now I'm wondering if I'll be able to get the hard plastic line off of the fuel pump at one end and the quick coupler at other end without breaking anything so I can replace with rubber fuel line. maybe I can very carefully cut/split the hard line at the pump and quick coupler and get it off without messing anything up. Every time I work on something on these trucks and there is plastic involved I end up breaking something.

Anybody ever replaced any of that with just rubber fuel line?
