Default SLS maintenance questions

First, I apologize for asking questions that have probably been asked before. I tried searching for SLS and received a message that the term is either very common or too short. Next I tried to search by tag with only one result for slsairbag. With that out of the way, I would like some advice from members who have experience keeping their SLS healthy* ...

I developed a leak in an airbag and I ordered a new set from Arnott since I have no idea when (or if) these have been replaced on my Disco. I checked the owner's manual and the workshop manual (RAVE) to see what I should be doing to prolong the life of components and I didn't find much.

1. Is there any special cleaning that should be performed to extend the life of the SLS airbags? For example, if it is possible for debris to lodge between the airbag and the piston (RAVE page 64-16) during suspension travel while off-roading, would it be beneficial to raise the suspension to Off Road Mode height and spray the area using compressed air or water after getting home? I imagine something getting trapped in there could wear through the airbag material over time, causing an air leak.

2. Should the SLS airbags be treated with anything to maintain elasticity? Can a rubber or plastic protector delay the materials from drying out and cracking/leaking over time?

3. Should the compressor be cleaned or lubricated or anything?

4. How often should the air intake filter behind the left taillight be replaced?

Thank you very much.

* This thread is meant for people who want to keep SLS working as Land Rover engineers intended. I find the on-road comfort under varying conditions and the ability to raise the suspension for off-roading to be more than worth the additional complexity and cost for me. Suggestions to replace SLS with coil springs are of no use to me, even if that is the right solution for you.

The only real maintance would be for you to clean out the air intake tube and if need be the pump from dirt and or rust.
